Why Donate to Uplift Literacy?

Across Florida, children are not meeting reading benchmarks. In 2023, 48% of Miami Dade County public school 3rd graders scored below proficient in reading, and children who do not read proficiently by the end of third grade are four times more likely to drop out of high school. Uplift Literacy addresses this urgent need for early literacy intervention. We partner with high-needs schools and organizations in the Miami area to empower children with the necessary literacy skills and resources to read proficiently by the end of 3rd grade in order to positively impact their future livelihood.
